Art Leather problems Can't Post

My understanding is that Art Leather has filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. Doesn't mean they're going out of business ... just attempting to reorganize.

Wow - really? Must be getting squeezed out by all the more contemporary companies.

I've never seen an Art Leather album that I would personally be proud to put my photos in...if I took wedding photos...they just look so old fashioned. Maybe their "Art Magazine"...those look cool I guess. Then again, I did use their DVD albums...which were a big hit until I actually started charging for them....then I sold ONE in 5 years....for $25. Laugh

Jenn ... they've suffered for years when it comes to customer service. Take a read through DWF ... long delivery times and problems with the product after it arrives.

Look as some of the newer suppliers ... Zook and Vision Art ... turn your album around in two weeks with a quality product. WHY would anyone want to deal with CS issues? They have some good products but nothing to so great to make it worth the hassle.

They say they're working on the CS issues and I'm sure they have loyal customers that will stick with them and give them additional chances. I wish them well, but I know that my customers appreciate me being able to place an order and have it in their hands in less than two weeks.

Yeah, I read quite a few things. And in looking through their info/website, I was just not moved to even pursue anythin thru them. When I think Art Leather, I think of those bulky slip-in matted albums, which every other brides comes in and says they do not want.

I LOVE Zook, but I haven't made one yet = pricey. And I want to have some stellar images to put in there. So far I've rec'd samples from Graphi (the stock one), a few small books from VA (which I'm improving on with my color, but still a hesitant about b/c I don't trust my color correction skills enough yet) and I'm waiting on a Kingston album from Bay Photo. I would have preferred to get it thru Albums Unlimited, as they offer a sample discount (Bay Photo does not) but the ordering process was kind of a pain in the butt. I get bored (and frustrated) easily, so it just seemed more simple to get it directly from Bay.

PS. I saw your post on DWF about your lens. There are a few used 24- 105 on Fred Miranda right now... Smile
