Best place to buy memory sticks? Can't Post

Looking for either the 1 gig or 512 Mb cards for the 20D which I just ordered (FINALLY!). I'm off to order the lens now too. If you can offer a place that has good deals on the memory I'd appreciate it!

I buy most of my stuff from Newegg.com . I bought the body of my 350D along with battery and memory cards from them. I recommend the 1G over the 512. You get a bit more for your $. I have the Tamron lens you have been talking about as well, and I think it is exceptional for the price. You should love it. I initially bought the 20D but returned it for the 350D. For me, the much smaller size of the rebel was more desireable since I was toting it about a lot.

thanks MCV! I buy lots of stuff from newegg...those guys rock so I'm off to buy my memory from them too. I ordered the camera and was ready to pull the trigger on the lens too and then decided to order another set of sticks and another 503 head instead. I'll probably order the lens next week or later this weekUnsure What are your feelings with the lens and using the auto focus? It was mentioned that it takes much longer to focus than the Canon lens do...any input on that?

Alright I bought the Sandisk Ultra II 1GB CF card. I was going to buy the extreme III but newegg did not carry itUnsure The III has faster write speeds and that is why I wanted it but the Ultra II writes at 9MB/s and read of 10MB/s. I hope this is fast enough for the 20D.

You better get that lens or you'll be walking around with that camera body in your hands cursing the world that you can't take pictures!!!! At least I am impatient that way.

I like the lens. I have used the stock 18-55 canon and the canon 70-300IS as well and I have not noticed any auto focus problems yet. But, I'm not a pro by any means so take that for what its worth. I've gotten some really spectacular shots with that lens though, so I'm happy. Beats paying for the Canon L glass.

Well the lady who hired me yesterday to video her daughters wedding which is this Saturday (their hired videographer backed out?) ended up stopping back out today and booked me in addition tot he $1800 package to do a Bridal Prep and project a montage at the reception so with all that her total package cam to $2300 which bought me the lens (Tamron), 20D, 1GB memory, Bogen 503 Video Head & Bogen 3246 sticks. Christmas in September! It should all be here tomorrow or Friday! I'll post some pics when I get the camera for sure. Thanks for all your help! I'm so excited!

Also another reason why I'm excited is that the mother showed me the package that they bought with the photog and it was her middle of the road package @ $3600! I'm going to be that guy some day, sooner rather than later!Wink
