That's why I stay off the photog forums. They don't seem so helpful with each other like on VU, as they do just bicker like children about new camera models, and generate rumors and such. I guess I've been reading the wrong forums, but it bores me to tears.
Why are these photogs so eager to waste money on new models of cameras that don't do anything that their old camera didn't do, aside from add a megapixel or two. I guess those are just the hobbyist/gadget freaks posting, and not the pros. For me personally, I can't tell if a shot came from a 5mp camera or a 12mp camera. The lenses are the same, they all have shutter release buttons, etc. At least cheap film cameras don't become obsolete after 12 months...or 30 years...great for poor people like me.
