Client is asking for my opinion on colors to wear for a shoot.. Can't Post

We are going to do an outside family shoot at the Nature Center amongst the fall colors as a background. She is asking my opinion on what colors they should wear. Does anyone have any ideas? I am thinking winter type colors, something that would not blend in with the background so much?

For the engagement shoots, for those who were into the fall colors, I suggested neutral colors - creamy, off white on top, brown or denim on the bottom... Something along those lines...

good luck!

Thanks Jenn, good suggestions. BTW, sorry I have not had a chance to comment on your last engagement shoot. Those were very nice photos, great job.. you've been practicing. I shot with a photog yesterday, just kind of tagged along and watched and took some shots over her shoulder so to speak. She had a great place, nice outdoor fall surroundings. One thing I noticed after looking at your shots compared to what she was doing, I could really see the videographer in you coming out, noticing the unfocused foreground in your shots giving the photos some depth.
Have you visited fredmiranda today? On the people photography forum there is a thread there called Warning - Kid Pics.. check it out, this guy did a phenomenal job with this little girl, I was in awe.

For the fall especially, guide them to comfortable clothes in earth tones.

Personally, I like Kahki+black (can't see through and hides dirt), or something with denim if casual.

Agreed! I did some family portraits outdoors last week, most of them wore earth tones and it looked really good. The colours that they did have, greens, burgendys even had an "earthy" quality to them and it looked really good outdoors.
