Glen is right but in the end, the LOWER your F STOP the less light is needed and better exposed your pics will be. On many reco's I bought the TAMRON IX 28-75mm lens..it is a 2.8f stop through the lens and it is INCREDIBLE. In the end you'll NEED a 16-35mm lens or close to for wide angle photography, a medium zoom lens like the 28-75mm lens I have from Tamron, and then int he end MAYBE a lens over 75mm to maybe 125mm for some really dramatic depth of feild portrait photography. extras include a macro lens...1:1..1:2 for super close ups of shots of rings etc... also afisheye like my canon 2.8f 15mm lens which costs 550. BTW the Tamron 28-75mm lens costs 330 usd. Great bang for yor buck. The 16-28(or is it 35)mm high end 2.4 canon lens is roughly 1600bucks... you can get them used on ebay for 599-700 ==================== I got some stuff.
