Felllow Canucks in DSLR Market... Can't Post

...my backup d200 landed yesterday. Was a little concerned because I sourced it from an ebay outfit stateside. Never done that before. Anyway, everything went smooth. Nothing out of the ordinary. No duty coming across the line, just the obligatory Gouge'n Screw Tax and PST. Took 5 days to get to Ontario from the midwest US. I thought there'd be duty or some other charge of sort, but apparently no. Their name is Complete Photo USA. They had a whack of 18-200's for $799 'buy it now' but I missed them all by mere seconds...literally disappeared as I clicked the buy button (hate it when that happens).

No Brack. I haven't any problems with my other one. Nikon will fix it if it's broken. I've bought Nikon products well over twenty years and not been burned...yet.Smile

Hello Darren, Toronto west area here. I recently took the digital plunge and purchased a 20D fairly cheap on Ebay ( U.S.) - The sensor was a bit dirty and I seem to have a white muted spot in the screen. Now I wish I had bought in Canada for a few dollars more due to warranty issues - Hope your purchase experience is better as that Nikon is one nice digicam.

That's too bad, Randy. Hope you can send it back and get it fixed. I've seen spectacular images from your model. That's all they said I have to do if anything goes wrong with mine, just pay the shipping. But I didn't take the chance with my main body...got it here with full Canadian warranty.

Here a couple of first shots made with a 200mm f2 VR (which I didn't take a chance with either...canadian warranty again).
