Great book - editing images Can't Post

I just wanted to pass this along. Found a great book for editing images, specifically skin tones, which can drive a person mad - very helpful and easy to follow - appropriately titled 'Skin - The Complete Guide to Digitally Lighting, Photographing, and Retouching Faces and Bodies' by Lee Varis.

Hopefully my images won't appear as 'peachy' or orangy or PINK! I already see an improvement from just the few tips I've absorbed already. Really helps one gain a better understanding and grasp of PS techniques.

Re: [Jenn M] Great book - editing images [In reply to] Can't Post

I hate to read (my reading consists of newspapers, magazines, & VU's forum).... but this one sounds like a must have for my personal library. I to have a problem with skin tones and any helpful advise could only help... I have joined the local photography club in this area and hopefully will get some hands-on help from some of the local photographers.

Thanks for the link Jenn...

I hear ya - on the reading thing. But one thing I like about this book is the pictures. Tongue No, seriously - I just got the book and I flipped through it randomly and even in just doing that, I found easy to follow tips and instruction that I could apply immediately.

That's great if you can become absorbed into the photog community - as long as they are willing to share info. Shocked I find photogs to be much more secretive. The competition is just so fierce.
