Hair inside my lens? Can't Post

How in the heck did that happen? There are tiny hair strands inside my Canon IS lens. Have no idea how they got in there and no idea how to get them out. I dont think they are showing up on the photos but it still bothers me. Any idea how to clean the inside of the lens?

Is it the 17-55? I've heard that that lens will suck
things in - I guess there is some suction created
when the lens is operated.

Wow, you heard that? it is the 17-55 lens and somehow there is hair or small fibers inside the lens.

Oh, yeah, I've heard that a lot on photog forums. I haven't
paid it a whole lot of attention seeing as I don't have that
lens. I think that it is the zooming action that creates a
suction that pulls dust from the air inside of the lens.
I think it is not supposed to affect the image, though.

Yes, I called a repair shop and that is exactly what they said. The lens is not sealed, I thought it was... maybe none of them are sealed. It is not causing any issues with my photos right now. If it gets really dirty and starts showing up on the photos, I will have to take it in to get it cleaned. Costs around $95 and takes about 3 days.

By the way, what did you think about my first go at wedding photography?

Only some of the L's are sealed - not all of the L's.
