Have you built a mobile studio? Can't Post

Just curious if anyone here has ever attempted to build a mobile studio ... one that easily packs up into rolling cases.

I've seen some at unbelieveable pricing with a video mixer, audio mixer, tape deck, and monitors (preview and record) ... but it would seem to me someone could come up with something that packs it all together. Something that could have a rolling case allowing for an easy pack-up and leave.

I can think of several instances where something like this would come in handy as opposed to carrying around all sorts of cases ... something where it opens up and it's all plugged in to each other and ready to go.

So ... if anyone has done anything like this I would love to hear more about it or see the pics.

Thanks

Re: [Sparky] Have you built a mobile studio? [In reply to] Can't Post

I wish I had a picture of the live switching beast we put together at my last job. Everything was on rollers, so we could take it up and down the elevators of the building to wherever we needed to shoot a live switched conference to broadcast worldwide throughout the company via video conference, CCTV, teleconference, satellite, whatever. It was the biggest mess of junk and cables you could imagine...and was a miracle if we actually got everything working 2 minutes before showtime. I had to borrow "real" cameras from the "real" video studio, and had no idea how to work them. Laugh

Yeah ... I remember him now. It's been ages since I've been to his site ... years, but I remember the basis of what he did.

Then there was some company that had a system with four cameras on tripods or speaker stands and you controlled all four, ran them through a mixer, had a tape deck and audio set up as well. I recall that it cost a small fortune.

I think I'm getting closer to what I need and it will be much simpler than that.

Thanks Bear.
