Kiwi I really enjoyed the pictures and I'm sure the B&G did too! I like that they were not posed and were candid. Very nice job! I'm considering getting a Canon 20D very soon and also offering photography as I have had many requests to do so. Are you currently just bringing along your camera or is it an option to your packages? What is the response from the Photog's when they see you pull that camera out? Are they intimidated?

Thanks Storm. Oh yes, he was quite uncomfortable. But I told him that we are not going to provide prints to the B&G. The images will only be on the DVD's slideshow and also for our DVD cover, and also for the transitions...., and also for the ... blah blah, .... ya know.

Our training in videography led us to carry the style of shooting - photojournalistic. I think any videographer would default to be doing this. It just streams in our (videographers) blood.

Nice pictures. I did a wedding with a person that I work with at my day job. He's a photog and brought me in to offer video. It was nice, because he gave me a CD of almost all the pictures that he took, so I was able to edit those in. It really added that I went from the photogs shot of the cake cutting to the live video. I've always thought about asking the photog for a couple of digital files, but haven't because I'm pretty sure they wouldn't do it. I usually work alone, so I couldn't do both. Anyway, nice pictures.

You snapped those during a VIDEO gig?! I'd love to see them compared to the actual "photographer's" images! I haven't been impressed with anything but the really high end (10k+) photographers around here. They are all technically good shooters, good exposure, good compositiong but has no element of artistry. Just clean imagry- kind of like straight forward long-form videography.

Yes. we did shoot them while doing videotaping as well. When I looked at these images I said to myself "we could have done better". If we were also the hired photographers during the day - I would have more control. Each of my videographers would have a camera (with very long lenses) of their own. There will be no movement. You won't see us running around nor standing in the middle of the aisle but we will still get the photojournalistic images the client wants.

There was only one hired photographer in this wedding. During the procession, he was standing at the end of the aisle where the priest and grooms were standing. So his shot were all frontal. Whereas, three videographers that day were positioned at different places in the church. One at the altar, one on the side and one at the beginning of the aisle. What a better position we were in - to take photos.

Nice work Kiwi! where did you get the image browser plugin for your website? I have seen it posted before, but can't remember. I need to redo mine.

was that hard to do? I am having a hell of a time figuring it out.
I would really like to make that change to my picture gallery.
