I need a name for a particular offering Can't Post
I've decided to incorporate a bit of my skills as a videographer into my slide show. I'm going to record the ceremony audio using an iRiver on the groom. Specifically I would like to capture the vows and maybe a few comments by the officiant. Later on I may or may not include sound bites through the day ... but that's waaaaaay off in the future.

Anyway ... I don't want to just list this as a slide show. I need a special name for it that doesn't sound cheesey?

Actually, I'd been trying to think of something more creative myself, for my montages. If I were doing the photography at the wedding, I'd thought about the iRiver thing as well, I think it would be cool, and really give you an edge. People LOVE photo montages, people always hire a photographer, and brides like to hear the vows. Wedding video.....not so much. Wedding photos+montage on DVD+audio of vows/other important stuff...it's a match made in....well...somewhere.Cool

I've already spoken to one couple about doing this for free this year. Like anything else ... you have to show it to sell it. They thought it was a pretty cool idea.

We'll see.

once the Freebie is available for you to show it as a sample- what is your thought for the add on price- and how long is it - and how many photos will you provide.. ( music I would think, obviously too...)

Umm... names... I LOVE coming up with names for stuff like this....
it's NOT video, it is a photo montage... with more than JUST the photos.. b/c you have the vows incorporated audio-wise...

Umm.... "The I DO Photo DVD"
"Eloquent Images DVD"
"Articulate Images DVD"
"Expressive Images DVD"

This is intersting to me Sparks... as I have thought of the same thing!... Maybe even setting up my video wide angle Just to get the vows... and add them to the photo montage...

again - what do you feel is a reasonable charge...and your details for the package??

So far I haven't put a dollar value on it ... not specifically yet, but in my packages it's got an approximate value of about $450. For now I went with Enhanced Photo Montage. Not exactly something that takes your breath away, but that's what I've got for now.

I'll just be adding some music, photos shot during the day and then work in the audio from the vows and perhaps a few lines from the officiant.

I haven't booked anyone yet as I just added it to the larger package, so we'll have to see how it goes.
