Re: [Brackish] New Canon Mark III firing at 10 frames per second - SEE VIDEO [In reply to] Can't Post

I've already heard photogs thinking outloud of trying to do some sort of hybrid video with this. I think we are going to see a new fashion of multi-frame print sequences.

I'm guessing that feature is more geared towards sports photography and specialized photograpy. I saw a TV ad not too long ago that was put together from stills to simulate a video. They could have used something like this for that type of production. The point was that even HD cameras didn't give them the quality that their customer wanted so they put it together from still sequences. It looked really good, but this camera would give them even smoother results I think.

As for wedding shoots, I agree. It would be incredibly obnoxious to see this at a wedding event.

Yeah, but they do it, and you know there's jackasses that can't wait to get one so they can "impress" everyone at the wedding with what a hack they are.Crazy That's just sad when you work with those rapid-fire photogs....it just sounds so desperate.Laugh

BTW, I have Canon, Nikon, and Zeiss cameras that will 24fps non-stop until the film runs out. Tongue

Just think: someday photographers' cameras will record 30 frames per second with audio, and they'll find a way to convince customers there's something useful there...

Laugh But you know, because they're photographers, they'll be able to charge more money for a 3 minute "montage" than I can for a 75 minute real video.

If they keep improving the frames per second, maybe someday there will be something out there that can shoot 30 frames per second! Wait--there is!! Us!
