Re: [Brackish] Photo samples from my first Wedding shoot [In reply to] Can't Post

No, this bride is getting a DVD with all the files in full rez. I went through them, weeded out the really bad ones, lightly corrected most of them and will then burn them to DVD and give them the DVD. I also have to produce a simple 50 pic photomontage (using Imaginate templates, its pretty simple)

I am trying to create proof book, not a demo album. The proof book is a 10x13 with 4up pages. I figure if I am going to try to start to promote wedding photography, I will need something to show and this will be what I bring to the meeting.

Well, the printer does all that... 10x13 book, 2.50 per page, front and back covers are free.

Very nice stuff....
How much is post processing vs straight out of the camera? and what equipment are you using? (I'm sure if I go back over previous posts, you've talked about you cameras & lens....)

Ernest00076.jpg would be a "nicer" shot without the tatoo... (old man talking...)

Thanks for sharing

I like the photos, Shane...the colors are very rich an pop. The venue had very nice, rich colors as well. I think I need to focus more on a proof book instead of a sample album, too, so that I can show individual photos instead of an album type of layout.

Have you seen any decent proof books? I wasn't sure
about Shane's proof book if you can switch out pictures
as you like over time, or if the pictures are some how
bonded to the pages.

I'm thinking the only ones I have seen are actually printed on the pages, not removeable. I haven't looked around much, though...mainly just MPIX.

Re: [Brackish] Photo samples from my first Wedding shoot [In reply to] Can't Post

I just got back from Texas and my proof book was waiting on me. I sent it off via internet on Wednesday morning at 1am and it shipped Wednesday afternoon. The pages are made of a thick photo paper and the images are printed directly on the page. I think it looks pretty good although the landscape images are smaller than I would like them to be after they were resized to fit into the portrait frame on the page. I think it would be better if you could choose how many images to put on a page. I elected to just resize all the landscape images rather than turn them so they would fit. Not sure if that was a good idea or not.
