Photography Magazines Can't Post

Does anyone subscribe to or buy photography magazines, if so, what ones do you like?

Darren subscribes to "Grannies and Fannies" photo magazine. Laugh Tongue

I've picked up a couple of photo magazines in the grocery store, but honestly, I think the internet has ruined magazines for me. Just like newspapers, anything you read in print is usually old news. If the photo magazine was based more on showing examples of a particular photo style, versus being filled with biased tech articles about all the latest gear and tiresome Photoshop tips, then I might be more interested in getting a subscription.

I'm just scared to death of magazine subscriptions. Credit Card companies used to subscribe me to magazines that I didn't knowingly authorize, and it would always take an act of congress to get them to stop charging me for them...let alone get a refund.Crazy

I like the internet too. But often the only real quiet place for me to read is in bed, so I do enjoy having a book or magazine to flip through.

I've seen a few at the book store, but didn't really find one I liked. A lot of them were gear reviews, nothing with some good photos, tips and articles, not that I found. That's what I would like to find.

Wireless internet and my 17" laptop... that's my bedtime reading. It's an old Pent4 and weighs almost 10lbs... makes for a great heater on the cool nights... Mike R.

I read Photo District News almost cover-to-cover every month. I look at PopPhoto and Shutterbug 'cause I get comped, but I probably wouldn't pay for either. For traditional wedding/portrait stuff, The Professional Photographer (published by the PPofA) is pretty good.
