This particular one is for a school event, but I was thinking on doing it for those extra pictures you shot at weddings, you know, the nephew of the cousin of uncle Johnny's and his neighbors... also for any other event that albums don't apply. I think is a better idea just to upload them and get a little something back everytime someone buys one.

You can be like most others and let another company handle your business for you, and constantly pay them fees for the 'favor' everytime you get a customer. Thinking longer term I chose to control my own business and build a site. If you don't know how to program the alternative is to hire a programmer. Tell her you want to move photographs online and let them take care of it for you. Will cost more up front but in the long run you will save money plus, more importantly, you'll never be at the mercy of another company, it's whims nor it's technical issues.

Hi, Axis.

I'm not selling any photos online but I have heard folks
here on VU mention PhotoReflect.com. (Do a search
here for "photoreflect" to learn more.)
I know some pro photogs who sell their wedding
photos through photoreflect.com. I think that company
takes care of the whole thing for you, such as taking
the order, printing, and shipping. In return they take
15% to 20% of the order as their fee. If you do happen
to sign up with them you should report back here
how it goes because I and others could use a service like
this.
