...Is there any warranty to cover this or is it similar to LCDs (where companies require SEVERAL of them to be dead to fix/replace? If there is ONE dead pixel, it ruins the photo, so I doubt they would reject fixing it under warranty. But I have no idea. They should be able to fix it via software, by pixel mapping. I think my Olympus came with this software pre-loaded. Seems I saw someone on a forum say they put their Canon into "cleaning mode", whatever that is on a Canon, and it mysteriously fixed it.
