The mothers always cry...with slideshows!! Can't Post

I tagged along with a photographer friend of mine this weekend for a wedding and helped him put together a slideshow for the reception (I do it at every one of my weddings!).
The mother freaked out when she saw the slideshow!! It was surrounded by guests and family the entire night. And the rest of the night you could hear everyone asking 'have you seen the slideshow of the pictures yet?' I swear...if you are not doing slideshows at your reception or even online right after the event then you need to start NOW!!! Your referral business will double with ONE event!

Here are my shots from the slideshow...http://www.jeffersontodd.com/...shows/jillianjustin/

And top three favorite shots from the night.

Here's a pic of the Mother of the Bride and Grandma.

I asked if they wanted to watch it one more time before I took it down to leave and they sat and watched it a few time through and then hugged Ken and I a few times each! Oh, I forgot to mention that she went and grabbed a $100 in cash to give us because she was so impressed with the photos and slideshow! It also pays to do slideshows!!!!

Nice shots of a pretty woman, and the shots/music work well together too.

I've been considering an SDE with video, but now you've got me thinking how much easier it would be to use Same Day Photos instead of footage for the final SDE video.... I think we can readily prep the video and leave just a few open moments for prep/ceremony shots to be inserteded for a quick final rendering and use.

I thank you for the inspiration!

Really nice work Jefferson again. I really like your fresh selections of music and your shot composition. That dress looked so familiar I had to go into my computer and see if it was the same dress as a bride of mine wore back in October but it was not the same...close though. Here are a few candids from that wedding.

Thanks Storm. That dress does look very similar. I really like that shot of the girl. How cool is it that her dress has flower petals in it. Smile
Did you notice the DSLR next to her?!! Wink

You're shooting a 20D right? What lenses do you have for it?

I did not notice it until I downloaded the pictures into the computer. It would have been perfect if it was not there but it would have changed her look had I bent down to move it. My primary job is the video but whenever I get the chance I fire off a quick candid still with the 20D and the Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8. I still want to get a longer lens and a wide angle.

It's a great shot! I just thought it was funny when I realized what it was. Super easy to fix though. Just throw a soft blur around the edges of the picture. Or slightly darken the edges of the picture. That would bring the focus right to the girl and you'd never notice the camera.
