Interesting, but the weather seal isn't an issue for me because I don't have a weather sealed camera Shocked

For now I think I am fine with my current flash (580EX)

Hey Postal. How's it going.

Do you ever have problems with your 580EX I preflash
causing the subjects to blink, and then by the time the
second (main) flash fires, you catch them with their eyes
half shut in mid-blink?

I never have any problems with the 580EX pre-flash. I have heard Nikon's flash system is even worse for this.

I also have no need for the new flash as my cameras aren't weather sealed either.

So far I haven't had any problems at all. I haven't used it a ton, though, just a few official settings.
