So you use that right on the front of a lens? Must not leave any residue that affects the picture then. One swipe of these clothes lasts for the whole day? Are they damp to the touch like they have a liquid on them? I wouldn't use it directly on a DSLR lens, since obviously it does leave some kind of residue to work. But, if I worked in harsh situations that required it, I wouldn't hesitate to use it on an inexpensive protective filter on the front of the lens. I got no problem using it on the lens of a video camera, especially WA lenses which have that thick glass that takes a long time to defrost when shooting the formal departure at weddings. Yeah, they are kinda wet to the touch. You wipe the lens, then kinda buff off any smudges. Kinda like applying Rain-X to your windshield. I don't ever remember using it on the same lens twice, so I guess it lasts a while. I haven't photographed in situations that fogged up the viewfinder, but now hearing from y'all that it does happen, I'm gonna be sure to keep the wipes in my camera bag. I rarely see a photog having trouble with lenses fogging during the departure, unlike my video cameras, but it was a photog friend that showed me these wipes in the first place. The studio boss had given them to all his photogs to try out, so she tried them out on her DSLR and my video camera WA lens, as we were shooting a wedding down on Galveston Island....where the humidity is terrible. Worked great!
