Viewfinder for photo cams Can't Post

Hopefully not a dumb question, but is there anyway to rig something like a viewfinder ala video on a photo camera for monopod work?

Here's a gadget that attaches to your viewfinder...I think I saw the link on another forum. I thought I'd seen other brands of it, but I can't remember.

Olympus now makes an SLR with a LiveView LCD...the E-330. Might be neat if there next pro SLR has this feature.

I have a Sony R1. It's not very 'pro' because it uses a fixed lens. But the viewfinder does flip up as well...

It's also not an SLR, but a point and shoot...whatever that's worth. Before I started shopping around for new digital camera, I didn't know that the digital cameras that photogs were using actually were true SLR's. I thought maybe that clickity snap I was hearing at weddings was just a digital sound effect their camera made so they'd know they took a picture. Laugh I thought all of them were "live view"...didn't know the LCD was just for chimping.

The Sony is nice...I about picked one up myself, since I didn't plan on doing anything professional with it anyways, and didn't expect to spend a bunch of money on extra lenses. I ended up getting an Olympus DSLR because it was so darned cheap. I actually shot a wedding where the photographer was using one of those Sony cameras!! His left arm was sorta paralyzed, so the p&s made his job a lot easier, plus he had an assistant. The bride said her pictures sucked, and wanted a bunch of frame grabs from me, but I don't think it was the camera's fault. Laugh
