Weather protection Can't Post

I've seen some options for protecting a still camera from the weather but I'm not sure what to get ( I have a Canon 20D). I'm just curious what others may be using for weather protection (rain, snow, beach) ?

Re: [garycox] Weather protection [In reply to] Can't Post

My LowePro bag has a built in cover to protect all the gear. Kinda like a tarp with elastic to stretch over and hold it down... I think all their "AW" stuff does. AW = all weather.

While shooting, my primary protection is my contract.... it states that I may refuse to shoot in any conditions which put myself or my equipment in jeopardy. Realistically, I have yet to be the limiting factor here. Generally, my lens are well sealed (they better be for the costs) and the base is protected by my body. Some consider base a disposable item. I think that is too wasteful.

Sorry that I don't know any real tricks or tips yet.
