So, Mazzy, are you getting into wedding photography?
I just kind of assumed you were only doing video
but, come to think of it, you do seem to frequent
this forum. Sly

Also, how did you digitize the slides?

Brack, right in this point of time, I would say no. we're doing very well with video and would hate to rock the boat with something I have very little experiece with. i have too many photographer friends to even consider it, too many toes to step on. Smile

Perhaps photography is just something I love to do and charging for it (meeting expectations, delivering etc) would kill the love for me.

I had the printer scan the slides for me. The better scanners are too expensive and too time consuming. :)

Cheers.

What do you mean by "the printer"? Not sure I follow you here.

Also, was wondering how much post processing work you did on
the pictures? Or is that how they came out of the camera?

with printer, i meant the place where i had it developed and printed into 4 x 3s.

No PS work save for cropping and resize.

I didn't even know printers offered slide scanning.

Were you concerned that they would give it the proper
processing (i.e. cross) that you wanted? My thought would
be that someone working at the printer would see
what film it was and just assume you wanted normal
processing. Or maybe you had to send it to someplace
special to have it processed?

Re: [Brackish] Wedding Shot with a Lomocam [In reply to] Can't Post

all instructions are made prior to the developing.

when i gave the slides, i asked them to cross process them and push the developing to 400 (the slides were asa 100 but I set the camera to 400).

cross-processing is inherently unpredictable (sometimes the cast is cool sometimes warm, depending on the exposure and typeof light and film used). but that's part of the appeal for me of lomography.

I didn't know what a Lomocam was but since read all about it, and the others. Really quite interesting.

I like most of these pictures but every single one of them are interesting to look at. The one that looks like a ghost coming out of the veil is probably my favorite. http://jmagbanua.com/...agbanua/target8.html Everything looks nice including the composition and how the dome design appears in it symmetrically. Reading about the Lomocam it became apparent why digital will probably never be able to perfectly duplicate this cool look of certain films/processes, no matter how great the ps filters get.

The collage style works well with these particular images. Very nice!

I came across this site a couple of years ago, which has some interesting stuff, as well as an online store that sells all those "toy" cameras....Lomo's, Holga's, Seagull's, etc. http://www.lomography.com/

I've got a couple of Holga $20 medium format cameras, which give interesting results, but don't use them much because of the cost of film/processing. I'd really like to get a Seagull TLR when I can afford it...I think you could actually take some pretty nice photos with them! http://www.bhphotovideo.com/...0_GC_109_Camera.html

I once came across some guy's website with a write-up on how he fit a Holga lens onto his Nikon DSLR. I didn't really understand that one too much....kinda defeats the purpose. Laugh
