Where to buy CF cards	Can't Post

I know someone posted links to various online places to buy reliable CF cards cheaper that going to Best Buy, I just can't seem to find the post. Any suggestions?

Newegg is typically a good source. Ridata and Kingston are a couple that you might not hear about as much as some others like Sandisk and Lexar, but both got pretty good reviews from users on DWF.

A 4 gig Ridata card for 58 bucks after a 15 dollar rebate. We'll see how it goes.

Great ... I picked up a couple of them about two months ago and love them. I always worried about having too big of a card, but I think those days are behind me. I shouldn't have to purchase anymore for a while as I'm up to 18 gigs.

Just make SURE you fill out the rebate card perfectly. They really look to screw you over to get out of them.

You bought these? Are they reliable? If they are then maybe I'll buy some. I've always stuck with the SanDisk brand because of the name and inferred reliability but I think I am paying for the name also.

I'll let you know how it works out when I get it. Thats the reason I only bought one...just in case 1/5 pics is corrupted like with my pny card.

I've never had an issue with them at all. Before I purchased any other brands (I have 6 - 1 gig Sandisk) I checked around DWF and both of the other brands came up fine.

Sounds good and I look forward to your report. I'm now up to 2- 2gig and 2 - 1gig SanDisk Cards but if the others are reliable I may give them a try.

Storm,

I have had the 4 gig Ridata card since Wed. and have taken a few hundered pics on it with no issues at all. The only downside that I am becoming aware of is not card related. I am using a Canon 10d and it takes forever to scroll through images because of the higher capacity. I also found out that the 10d is limited to 999 pics. I can take more than that but the counter on my camera only goes up to 999. I am curious to hear if anyone with a newer camera (20d, 30D, 5D) has faster results with higher capacity CF cards. I smell a new purchase in the future Wink

Are you talking about downloading cards or viewing them on your camera?

And FYI ... at this point I would rather have the new 400D Rebel than the 10D. I have two 20Ds and I'm actually considering the new Rebel as a third body ... set it on program and forget it.
