Laugh Wow, you must have done some really psychological analysis of this silly post. We were just cracking a couple of silly comments, and the wedding video super-heroes rush to in to defend the "scene". Laugh

Yeah, I do hate life. I also hate weddings. I hate editing wedding videos. I don't really hate blogs, but I hate wedding video blogs. I get a kick out of the people who can't shut up about how great their blogs are, and that we will all HAVE to get them eventually.

But I do have to make a living. I don't have a blog. I have an outdated $35 website. I don't have a video camera. And I probably make more money per hour than most of the wedding videographers here. On top of that, I think I'm probably a lot better at making tasteful and professional wedding videos than most of you.

I also have a great sense of humor, which apparently a few here lack.

At least Julie isn't easily baited into making negative comments about other VU'ers, at least not on the public forums like this one. TongueTongue

I also have a blog, where I speak very candidly about the wedding video business. You guys are reading it right now, and you can't get enough. Cool Everyone eats up the attention they get from their blogs, and get big heads about it, so don't forget to reply to my "blog".

Ah, come on...everyone that knows Rusty knows that he doesn't hate his life....he hates a lot of OTHER people's lives, but not HIS...As long as he has cheesy tuna pasta (hey! No mention of it for weeks/months??? You ok, Rusty?)

I think the whole thing started because a couple of people started poking fun at the idea that there are a few people out there that insist that you aren't professional if you DON'T have a blog, which to me is rediculuous...A blog is a social tool, nothing more. It may give people "up to date" info on what you are doing in your business and personal life, and it might be entertaining, but it is far from essential in the market place, and some people consider the time to maintain it could be better spent doing other things that may produce just as good of results.

As for me, I see this whole thread as a "blog" just like some of the others do. And how constructive is it? Well, it is entertaining, but not very informative - just like a lot of other blogs out there. Cool

That's probably the least humble thing I've heard from you. The talent part is true, you've got that in spades. But the way you said it was very unRusty-like. I think this whole thing has touched a nerve with you, and it has nothing to do with blogs.
