choosing a photographer for wedding shoot

guys i'm breaking into the wedding and events market slowly. I am very confident in my video work and i'm looking for a photographer to assit me so i can offer both works same as my competetors.
In the works of photographers what should i be looking for other than just some nice pictures they show me.

his natural lighting work is great to my opinion does this mean he will do well in an event?
he told me he had done about 10 weddings so far and he is a feature film DP
I have a client in hand that i would like to please it is the ceremony of his wedding only about 80 people there and followed by simple dinner no music. the party to follow later!!!
should i spend the $$ and hire the more experienced photographer just to be safe or i will be ok with this guy?
