generic shutter remote Can't Post

The Canon shutter remote costs about $80 cdn in the stores here.
I see on e-bay there's generic type of remotes for about $10 plus shipping.

Has anyone used these before? I'm wondering if they would be worth it.

I have one of the generic ones from ebay. Works great! I am sure the Canon one is much nicer, but this gets the job done.
