help me rename my files Can't Post

Is there a way to batch rename the files using single digits?

For instance ... from what I can tell I need to name my first image gallery file gal1_1.jpg. I cannot find anyway to batch rename my files without using the two digit series. If I use the single digits it will rename another file as: gal1_1(1).

The template I'm using will not allow me to use gal1_01.jpg ... it must be gal1_1.jpg.

Thanks.

I'm not sure what you mean. I only know enough about this stuff to make my life miserable.

All I want to do is start increasing the number after the underscore (_) in increments of one ... and it can't start with 01.

Someone else that has the same type site that I do has told me that they just go through and number them individually. Apparently they're having the same problem.

I don't know of any way to do an incrementing rename of files. Sorry. You would have to do some sort of script to do that, I think.

Thanks. I was hoping it could be done in Batch Rename, but it's not possible. Luckily all I have to do is go through the first 9 images and manually change it by hand. I was just looking for a better workflow.

If you are on a PC, I'd recommend Breesebrowser. Works awesome for renaming files.
