help me set up a shoot Can't Post

hello y'all, I'm trying to set up to shoot video in my metal shop it's very small (about 12 feet square) and it's not well lit. what I want to know is:
1) what light is best for permanent installation overhead halogens? how many? approximation is fine here...
2) will arc light harm a ccd? what filter should I use...
3) I'll need a wide angle lens any recomendations about that?
also I should mention I'm using a vx1000
thanks in advance

Any lights are fine as long as you white balance before hand. The arc welder won't harm you CCD. Both Canon and Sony make good WA 58mm lens options that will fit your VX1000. The Canon WD-58 is my suggestion as it is lighter then the Sony option.
