how much post Can't Post

Just curious to see how much time folks spend doing image editing for a wedding shoot - say average ceremony and formals package.
Do you do post work with every image to adjust contrast or levels?

:)

Re: [Shadow] how much post [In reply to] Can't Post

Depends on what phase you're talking about.

I shoot in raw ... upload images ... go through and edit IN the images I plan to keep using iView. I open up the keepers in DPP and do batch color correcting and adjust exposures. That's ALL I do before the images go on-line. (I don't provide proofs or proof magazines.)

If prints are ordered I'll spend more time with them before ordering them and then (of course) I'll spend more time cropping, sharpening and maybe adjusting contrast as needed.

I typically will either have all my images edited down to the keepers before I go to bed or by the next afternoon. I can finish my color/exposure adjustments under two hours ... approximately 600 images.

If prints are ordered

Do you provide the proofs on CD? You say if they order prints. Or, how do they get them images?

All my clients get their proofs on CD or DVD. Hi rez files with the amount of work mentioned above.

They are welcome to print like bunnies and I could care less whether or not they order from me. As a matter of fact ... I really prefer not to mess with it.

I had three weddings up on pbase this year and practically asked them to save them to their desktop. The resolution was enough for them to make a good 4x6.
