nature shot turns ugly Can't Post

One of my patients states he went to a rural farm area he owns and saw an enormous bird. It happened to be sitting on an egg the size of a softball. For two days despite staying quite a bit away he tried to catch the bird sitting on the egg but scared it making it fly away. Yesterday he was able to get close enough just as the bird lifted off. Confident he had captured the event, he went to the egg to see just how it looked. Turned out it was the size of a softball, in fact it was a softball!!!!!!

If that bird was a person, it would be a crazy lady in the park wheeling around a doll in a carriage and singing it songs.

I have some laying hens and this is one of the ways to trick them into sitting on their eggs when they are young. For hens, you put a golf ball in the laying box and something usually clicks. They'll start laying their eggs in the general area with the balls you've put out. I wonder if they're doing the same with the softball?

I'd go for a laying man... (I just took this thread somewhere it shouldn't have gone.)
