Very nice pictures!
It is fun tagging along for the ride isn't it? You can snap away and there's no stress involved!

Hi, mazzy.

One thing I was wondering about is the lighting on the
cake shots. Is that the way the venue had the cake
lit? Or did you use any extra lighting that you set up
for those shots?

Nice shots Jason. I would LOVE to bring that first shot into PS and give it some extra attention :)

Thanks Jason.

I just love the cross-prcoessed, grainy, textured feeling paired with being covered the veil and emotion in the image.

Those samples right there are better then 90% of what the local photogphers around here are delivering.

Very nice, Jason... you always are so creative. I know how tough it is for me to try to dig out that creativity, it seems to just come so natural to you. Beautiful shots. I like your original version of the first image. The second image is pretty nice but I long for a subject when I look at it. the lines however are wonderful.

So ... what is the business like by you, mazzy?

Do the photogs generally make 3X the money
and get 3X the respect as the videogs - for
doing 1/3 the work?

Business is doing good. Smile

Curious that we are not beset by the same problems most on the forum talk about. We earn as much as the photogs (sometimes more) and get a great deal of respect from clients, colleagues and peers.

I wouldn't say they have it easier, it's difficult and draining to prompt/direct clients and their families. Definitely not a position I would want to be in nor one I can do ably.

I wonder if the difference has anything to do with how the clients
feel about the video at the time it's shot.
Wasn't it you who said a while back that the clients
by you like to feel like a star on the big day? Letting
you use lights even during the ceremony?

By me, they don't want to see you. They don't interact
with you. It would be best if you were invisible.

Jason you have a good life. Cool I love your work. Two observations. On the reverse shot from the alter, are those floods or flash? The reason I ask, is you mentioned you don't have a flash and I was curious if you were firing those remotely. But then I read and remembered that it is quite acceptable to use floods at weddings there, so I realized that they were probably floods. Also, I noticed on the last cake shot there is a white reflector behind the cake. It just caught my eye because the lighting was different than the other cake shots.

Yo Glen! XPro is short for Cross Processing. It was a technique used in Film developing way back where C-41 chemicals (used for color negative) are used for slide film. The result is an interesting mix of off-kilter colors and deep saturation. Like everything else in Photoshop, it's now a downloadable action or a manual tweaking of levels, curves and colors.

thanks for looking man.
