CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS! Can't Post

The Real To Reel Film and Video Festival is now accepting submissions for this year's festival.
Filmmakers, video producers, animators, and digital/multimedia artists of all genres and skill levels are encouraged to submit their work for this celebration of the visual art form!
Submissions deadline is May 15, 2001.
The Mission of the Real to Reel Film and Video Festival is to offer a forum for independent film, video and multimedia artists to showcase their talents and expose their works to the world.
The Real to Reel Film and Video Festival also offers a great opportunity for students, amateurs and professionals alike to exhibit their work and garner award winning name recognition.
There are six genre categories -- Feature (over 60 mins), Non-Feature (up to 60 mins), Documentary, Animation, Short (15 mins max), Children's Films, and Music Video. Entry fee is $30 for professionals, $25 for Students/Amateurs over 18 years of age, and $15 for students/amateurs 18 and under.
Last year -- the very first year of the festival -- we had over 80 films submitted, ranging from a 23-second hand drawn animation clip to a feature length movie starring Alicia Witt, Eliott Gould and Marlo Thomas. Over 250 people attended the festival last year, and we're looking forward to an even bigger turnout this year! Once again, local film legend Earl Owensby will speak, plus we anticipate having Dale Pollock, Dean of the School of Filmmaking at the North Carolina School of the Arts, to also speak.
For more information, including a printable entry form, visit our website at www.realtoreelfest.com.
Send us your films and videos! And make plans now to attend this wonderful festival which runs July 14-21, 2001.
See you there!
