Computer game music. Standard rate? Can't Post

I was asked to submit a quotation for composing original music to a computer game. I have never worked for computer games before so anyone has any idea how it is charged? I heard somewhere that the standard rate ( if there are any ) is US$ 1,000 per minute, is that the ballpark figure?

Is this a per song or per week or per hour payment ?
From what I have learnt in the industry, there is no strict rate. It depends on your skill, input and decision.
