Free scriptwriting software? Can't Post

Is there such a thing or can I just configure Word to write a script?

Thanks!

There are two basic script formats. You can pretty easily use Word "as-is" to write a screenplay format script, which is arranged in standard paragraphs. However, a template that automates the capitalization and so on is very handy.

Word does very poorly at the two-column script format. You need to have either a good plugin or a stand-alone scriptwriting program to avoid frustration in trying to keep the material in the columns aligned right.

Hal has some for sale here.

Celtx is an open source script writing package. It's available for Mac & PC and also features tools for online collaboration and production planning.
