How to get 24p look with a Sony pd150? Can't Post

I am about to shoot my first short film but want the 24p look. What are my options besides renting a Panasonic avx100 camera. I have a sony pd150. Is it possible to make it look good enough to enter festivals without them making comments about how they notice a weird effect on the film?

ThanksCool

Sony does not incorporate a true progressive scan 30fps but 1/30 shutter speed which is lacking. With the Sony you have more of a strobe effect. So a film like look would have to come from other tweaks.

Always remember that there are many important factors that go into getting a film look out of a DV cam other than a frame rate. It's important for any potential digital film-maker going for the film look to have spent many hours getting to know the controls at his or her fingertips and the looks that can be produced from their camcorders. Then you have production considerations...............such as finding the perfect camera setups to match the film type lighting you will need to use. What movements produce the worst artifacts when scanned to film also even if it stay within the digital realm like DVDs.

A true DV film-maker is a hybrid who must be proficient in storytelling and cinematic style PLUS an advanced understanding of the technology they are using which is far more complicated than the traditional film production!

Sorry was a simple question but I just bought a new soapbox and I just can’t seem to get off it.
