Well, it only took me three years of photography/cinematography school before I really started to understand cameras and shooting.
Where would you like to start? Lighting? The 180 degree rule? Lenses? FPS? Depth of field? Screen direction? Or shall we just jump in and say "point the round end of the camera at the subject".
Seriously, go to a bookstore and check out the books on basic photography/digital filmaking/directing. As for teaching you how your camera works, read your manual first, then cross reference any topic you don't understand with a book on digital filmaking. Read a book about directing to understand where you should place your camera and why. A photography book will help you learn about lighting, lenses, depth of field, color temperture, etc.
Once you've done this, come back here with specific questions and we can help you.

Re: I NEED TO LEARN !! [In reply to] Can't Post

Well these are all excellent tips. I'll sure go to the bookstore soon. But I do know what I want to learn. I know where to place my camera when I shoot and the lighting in snowboard films is not the most important point. I want to learn more about the camera itself, lenses, useful functions, etc. the things you need to know ! but as you said I'll sure go with the book idea !
thx

Actually, it's a critical point...it's just that in this type of work, you can't set up a lot of lights to get the lighting you want. Instead, you have to use the camera angle, time of day, weather, and terrain to achieve the best lighting. At the same time, you have to be in a position to get the best action shot.
It's an extremely complex tradeoff. Warren Miller is the past master at winter sports films. See his work for education and information.
