Locations for Stock WW-II Footage? Can't Post

Can anyone point to where I can find public domain video footage from WW-II? Does Defense Department's Combat Camera shop have that kind of material available?

Many thanks!

Might see what's available at Archive.org.

The Library of Congress maintains a huge library of government footage in various formats. I'm told the procedure for getting a copy is rather involved, and I think it requires that you go in person to the archive to make your copy.

Lynn Emerich could tell you more about it; he's done it. You can find him hanging out at http://www.videobusinessadvisor.com, but it is a subscription site.

One of the easiest ways to get this footage is by following the links and instructions in our popular Guide to Public Domain Footage at

Give me a call if you have any questions.
