Be very careful of free or cheap film stock. "Re cans" or "short ends" can save you money, but you would have to have each roll tested to be sure the film is still good. Using bad film costs a LOT more than using brand new film from Kodak. Believe me on this one.

If you are a student, you can get 20% off from Kodak, and 15% off from Fuji. You will have to talk to a faculty member to represent you as a student and sign the required paperwork. This can all be done by fax, and probably on the internet now too. Great prices can be found on the internet from the different distrubutors around thge nation. Expect to pay about 35-40 dollars for a 400 ft. can of 16mm. (10 minutes at 24 frames) I have no idea how much super 8 goes for, but you can find it online too. Try www.super8films.com for starters.
