Need Some Advice on a Project Can't Post

Ok, Ive never done a project like this before;

A construction company that just built a new high school wants me to shoot video of the inside of 100 classrooms and the exterior of the building. So far thats all that they said they wanted. And they wanted to know my prices. They said they want it done this week sometime. I ve never done a project like this and dont have any pricing quite set up. Anyone here ever do a non-wedding project like this or have any idea on how I should bill this? Hourly?? Flat rate?

What other information do I need to get from them on a project like this?

Thanks;

Re: [mtrotter] Need Some Advice on a Project [In reply to] Can't Post

Firstly, what use do they have in mind for the video?This will determine your plan, how to shoot edit etc.Promotional, something they will use to sell other contracts?
Documentation, just a copy of the finished job to keep as a record and or proof of contract fullfilment?You need to know so you can choose your shots to accentuate what they want.
How many hours will you have in prep, shooting,editing?
How many crew do have to pay to do the shoot?
Do you need interviews or comments from the contractor?
What equipment do you need to do this job to the best of your abilities?
(lighting, audio, props,etc)
Add up your costs plus handling ,add the hours at the rate your worth( if you need more than 6 hours use day rate) subject what you your willing pay out of your pocket for the experience.
Go over your contract and make sure it covers everthing.
Go close the deal.
