Newbie looking for advice Can't Post

I'm currently looking at getting into the industry, after a years long break from theater. I'm looking for any advice anyone can provide on the whole process, from writing, to pre-production, production, post, equipment, costs etc...
My theater background is mainly amateur, though I have directed, produced and appeared in a number of semi-pro and amateur projects. Any advice, or direction to other forums, websites, resources would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Newbie looking for advice Can't Post

Over the past two years, I put together a full-length DV movie (writing, shooting, directing, editing), then produced a "How-To" for others about to take that step. The tapes mostly cover the DV Camcorders and Editing on the Computer. You can check out my site for details.
Also, take a look at cyberfilmschool.com for the 4-part series dealing with "the making of". Good luck, Steve Saylor
