Scriptwriter Intern needed for P.S. spot Can't Post

We're currently looking for a scriptwriter for an upcoming story on Youth Sports and the the politics the parents bring into them.

I remember the day when I was young and playing softball (early 60's), I saw few parents there other than the coach and some staunch supporters ... it was, back then, true youngsters sports - for youngsters, by youngsters. Today, with the parents involvement - the whole youth sports thing has turned, in my opinion, a bit ugly. Parents pushing there kids so hard that suicides are happening, parents are fighting amongst themselves - and that's just the tip of the iceberg. The dirty politics that happens away from the kids are really screwing up kids sports.

Well, we have just been asked by a very influential person (and a national celebrity) in our home town - to do a piece on this phenomenon because this person is tired of seeing the corruption and UBER-competitiveness of the PARENTS in to the youth sports leagues ... particularly the sports leagues this person is involved in. He's just plain tired of it - and longs for the old days where kids play sports, and parents just SHUT UP and watch. I kind of long for those days too !!!

If you live near the Ventura County area (north of Los Angeles) and are interested in getting involved in this film (actually video) project in any way - and have the wherewithall to do this for free (at this time), please contact me. If the project is compelling enough and successful to be used commercially, we have been given permission to market it. If, at that time, the project makes money - the money will be spread equally amongst the labor pool involved, less hard costs of purchasing tapes and/or the necessity of renting equpiment (that being doubtful).

I, for one, am anxious to get started ... I have 2 GL-2 cameras, a standby Panasonic cheapie for B-roll shots, green screen setup - the ability to build a dolly system out of PVC (remember, we're on the cheap here) and have even dusted off my dear deceased parents wheelchair for dolly shots, lighting and some sound equipment. I'm depending on the local schools to donate anything they can - and get a chance to be a part of this project as well.

Interested ? Give me a reply here on your thoughts as well.
