: Does anyone know any good websites or stores in the UK that will sell tear sticks? I am also looking for any ideas of how to create dust and cobwebs? is there stuff you can buy? Or is there any easy ways to recreate a dusty old room effect.

Can't help you with tear sticks, but creating cobwebs is pretty easy. You can rent a "cobweb spinner" from many production companies. You can also fashion a cheap spinner from an electric drill and a small propeller. Attach the propeller to the drill, and use it to blow over an open container of rubber cement. The rubber cement is blown into thin strands that look just like cobwebs.
Creating dust can be accomplished by using "fullers earth" which is a brown talc or you can use talcum power. The trick to "seeing" dust on film is to light it from behind.
