Transfer 8 mm film onto video tape. Can't Post

What do I need to transfer our family 8 mm films onto video tape? I have the projector, splicer and Video camera. What can I do to make the best transfer? Any suggestions short of professional would be greatly appreciated.

You really need to run the film at 20 frames per second. That way the video at 30 fps will jive with the film. (60 FIELDS per second being the common denomenator. Most projectors run at 18 fps. Unless your projector is variable speed, you'll need to upgrade it. Sorry.
