Video Logging Software Can't Post

 I was wondering if
you might be able to give me the name of a software program that you would
recommend for logging video. We have used in the past a software called "Vid
Jet" and it was created by Hewlett Packard (HP). It captured video every few
frames and then we were able to print out the grabbed images on a regular HP
color printer with time code. The software is not supported by Hewlett
Packard anymore, and there is only 1 printer that works with the software
(an old 1200 HP model) and our 1200 printer is not fixable.
We would love to find something similar to this and not too expensive. The
Vid Jet was simple basic indexing software. We aren't interested in having
to digitize footage into an edit suite, or anything like that. We just want
to be able to simply capture images with time code and print it to paper.
Might you know of anything similar to this? Your help would be greatly
appreciated.

Re: Video Logging Software Can't Post

Dear Simone Hotchkiss,
First off, I think your last name is funny. *haha*
Okay, I know of two PC type video loggers.
The first was advertised back a few years ago (1994/95)
It was called "Scene Stealer" and was made by Dubner.
The second was advertised as "new" in 1998.
It was called "Executive Producer Video Logging Software".
Don't know who makes this system.
Unfortunately, I have no detailed spec sheets or phone
numbers for either of these manufacturers. Sorry.
Good luck in your quest.
Jeff

Re: Video Logging Software [In reply to] Can't Post

Executive Prducer is made by www.imagineproducts.com. Is works ok...I' use it everyday. The new version 7 or 8 does not seem to be much different from v2 - some bug fixes and export capabilities.
