Walking Through Wall Effect Can't Post
Im pretty new to this sort of thing so im wondering if anyone can help me. I am looking for someway to create the effect of a ghost walking through a wall for one of my projects.

I have Premiere and After Effects.

Unimpressedits not as easy as one would think. by now I'm sure you've figured that out. I did a walk through a dimensional porthole for my film, "Sacrifice...".

Hollywood would use 3-D animaton to determine the wall and ghosts coordinates in 3-d space. But if you have an artists' intuition for perspective and space, you can do it with a 2-d compositing program like AE. I used FCP for my effect but I bet you could do it with AE. I used premiere and AE once.

I also have a couple of old hollywood, easy ways to do it.

An animated mask with glowing edges otta do it along with having the ghost transparent.
You can animate the mask by double clicking the layer, drawing your mask with the pen tool and setting a keyframe for it's position. I bit of feather on it's edge will help. If you have the production bundle, you can make another layer, apply glow then add 2 splines of masking to cut out an edge around the edge cut on the layer below. If you can, get sappire plugins 9www.genarts.com) and this part is much quicker, simpler and more fun due to more power and freedom to be had.
