I had a choice of either posting the above subject here or scrawling it on to a piece of cardboard and standing at the foot of the off-ramp.
I'm currently in the process of attending Brooks College in Ventura California for a fine arts degree in video journalism/video broadcasting and what I've heard is about the best curriculum west of the might Miss. In the meantime, I'm also going broke.
I've done quite a bit of video work, mostly in the fashion and bridal industry and would really like to branch out to what I prefer - documentaries and video journalism - but just don't have the leads or the confidence to get my face and camera out there to show my stuff.
I do excellent post-production and titling and seem to slant more towards 'commercial representation' video work than anything.
So, being mostly a sole proprieter in this biz I'm not really in 'the loop' of how to get myself recognized.
Anybody in the Los Angeles or Southern California area looking for a second unit camera person ? I shoot with a Canon GL2, have my own lighting equipment and stands, have great customer skills and am a pretty darned good director .... so, if anyone is interested, let me know:
