I'm in the process of putting a video into the Amazon pipeline. You should read their requirements carefully. One of the things they require is a UPC bar code which is a pain and expensive. It costs $750. Is it worth it? Do you have a really good documentary people will want to see? If so, then it's worth it. Just as important or more so is getting lots of reviews. If you're not doing this, Amazon or even Barnes and Noble won't help. Good reviews are one of the keys. Hire a publicist if necessary, but without good reviews it will probably not be profitable. Also get testimonials from satisfied viewers. And you will need a very good cover. Even if you get into Amazon and the others, you really need to have a web site to sell it. No one will sell it quite as well as you will. I'm writing a book on this subject so I've learned quite a lot about what you need to do and how some people win big, but the vast majority lose. Good luck to you and keep us posted. Hal Landen P.S. My book's not ready yet, but will be announced on this web site when it is.
