Hello.
I have finished shooting a documentary which I self financed, and need to get a rough cut done. The PBS series P.O.V. has requested to see "something on tape" to determine if they want to 1)provide finishing funds, then 2) acquire it for broadcast.
Ditto a distributor.
The situation: I'm out of $$$. I'm looking for an editor with a system to rough cut it, on a deferred pay/profit participation basis. I'll put any agreement in writing and get it notarized if you like. At the very least I'd like to get a 5 min "trailer", something I can send these guys. I would also like to use this doc as a pilot of a possible series.
I live in westchester county NY, 30 min from NYC, 20 min from southern CT. Have wheels, can travel.
Doc was shot on SVHS. It is about young entrepreneurs, some of whom have been written up in mags such as Fortune, and one was on CNN.
