windows movie maker Can't Post

Me and my friends just made a movie, (just to get practice, it isn't a movie, movie, thats why were using windows movie maker), but now im having trouble using windows movie maker. I cant get the movie from the my mini dv camera into movie maker. Can somebody please help? Thanks.

1. Make sure you've upgraded to MovieMaker2, downloadable from Microsoft.
2. Make sure you are using a Firewire cable, not USB.
3. Make sure your camcorder is in VCR mode, not camera mode.
4. Make sure your computer sees the camcorder (New Hardware Found when you turn on the camera.)
5. Make sure Windows XP is treating your 1394 card or port as a video capture port, and not as a network interface. Check this in Control Panel/System/Device Manager/Hardware, and look under the Network Adapter section. If the 1394 port appears here, Disable it.
