Part of the problem is that posting an HDV clip of decent quality requires a bandwidth about 15-20 times that of typical online video, which takes up a lot of server space and can be time-consuming to download even with a DSL or cable modem connection. But there are a fair number of clips floating around out there if you search the forums for them...here's one I posted recently:

For what it's worth, I had also posted a 1080p version of this file which someone downloaded and played on a 14-foot home theater screen, and he said it looked really good. Not bad for a $3500 camera.
